THE PLAN
Yoshi put it best himself in an email to me, reflecting on the effects of lockdown on himself and other friends. Yoshi was worried that he had upset people without ever intending to do so. I'm sure the hyperfocus guilt-spiral thing is not unfamiliar among our team. What he really wanted, which he expressed many times, but quite succinctly in this email:
At the end of the day my goal is to get along with everyone in our group and the last thing I want to do is be the source of any conflict.
And one way that Yoshi really wanted to contribute to this noble goal, was to advocate and assist in a team social event with our favourite things : A party among friends.

We are very open with how this event pans out and invite you to bring your ideas, whether you would like to do something specifically as a memorial for Yoshi, or something in the spirit of building a connected community and contributing overall.
We'll have a more clear picture of exactly what infrastructure we have access to, and what we will need to bring. There is some access to water, power and toilets from my understanding, but it may be limited with what is available on site.
So, we will need help with the following (non-exhaustive) list of things:
Water & Associates (will we need to hire some port-a-loos? Will everyone bring enough drinking water for themselves?)
Power & (Air+Ground)Vibration 🔊 (If we're running off an extension cord, how much can we draw from it before it goes nope. Is a hired generator the more seamless option? Who's got what equipment that go boom and can bring? *hears a very loud thumping bass car in the distance)
Food (Do we need a team kitchen leader? Or bring you're own food?)
Decorations / Lighting 🎇✨🎉✨🎇
Misc (literally everything else I haven't written here)
COST
We are unsure how much we have or how much we need - But have been offered a non-defined (as of yet) amount via HRVic to assist with costs. We will do what we can to cover the basics, but depending on the need, we may need to ask for small contributions from anyone able to make them. We'll outline funds and clarify this once we have some more information.
